Canon does it again…

Canon has released the T2i, their flagship model in the EOS Rebel lineup. It looks like another great improvement to an already great line. I like that Canon is introducing a lot of consumer level entry cameras, because it opens the world of photography to many, but I hope they don’t forget about the pro-sumer or pro market. Although they recently introduced the 7D and the 1D mkIV, I really don’t want either of them.

I keep hoping they will introduce something in between the 7D and the 5D mkII; a solid, weather proof, pro level camera with a full frame sensor, 18-21 mp and no video. I know it might be unpopular, but I really can’t imagine I’m the only one who doesn’t need (or want) video on their DSLR. In fact, I’d rather purchase another 5D mki, because it has good image quality, is affordable, and simply serves my purpose. Which is taking pictures.
